pues bereis se hacerlo de la 10.4 pasarla ala 10.10 sin perder todos los programas hackin instalado

¡¡yo pretendo hacer lo contrari   cojer una 10.10 que tengo equipada y pasarla a 10.4 sin perder los programas

esta es una forma de pasar de 10.4 a 10.10 sin perder los programas
primero vamos a modificar un pequeño archivo para poder dar el salto de distro y no morir en el intento abrimos un terminal linux:

sudo gedit /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades

se nos abrira un archivo y modificamos la parte donde pone Prompt=lts por Prompt=normal

Código [Seleccionar] Expandir

# normal – Check to see if a new release is available. If more than one new

guardamos y cerramos...

terminal linux ponemos lo sigte:

sudo do-release-upgrade -d

decirle que si [Y] a todo

y pedira reiniciar y ya esta  sera bastante larga la actualizacion

despues en una terminal ponemos

lsb_release -a

y nos tiene que dar un resultado similar a este. No LSB modules are available.
