apt-get autoremove debian

Hola a todos, acabo de instalarme el nuevo debian 7 y está flipante, no me esperaba tal cambio, incluso mejor que windows en algunos aspectos diría yo.

Bueno, el caso es que después de instalar todo lo que necesito, he hecho un autoclean y luego quería hacer un autoremove, pero (esto es lo que me pasó una vez, y tuve que instalar todos los paquetes a mano, y no sabía si era un bug o algo) me dice que tiene que limpiar 731MB. 731!!

Si le doy que si me quedo sin entorno gráfico, sin aplicaciones y sin nada. Yo creía que la orden (autoremove) es para borrar paquetes que ya NO se usan y no dependan de ninguno.

Alguien me puede aclarar?

Tio no se que harás tu con tus sistemas, pero es rarisimo....

Una instalación limpia de debian, instala el sistema base, entorno gráfico y herramientas para los portátiles.
No se que has podido borrar, por que desde luego , yo lo instale hace 2 semanas, y después de configurar todo, instalar mas o menos lo que creo que necesito, netbeans, code::blocks, qtcreator , etc ,etc ,etc

A mi el apt-get autoremove me funciona bien, me dice de borrar 6 o 7 paquetes a lo sumo, 21 M....
Asi que no creo que sea un bug, apt-get autoremove te borra las librerías huérfanas, es decir aquellas que ya no tienen dependencias y no las usas para nada....
Si tienes todas esas "librerías" huérfanas, que has instalado y que has borrado después?

pues borré algunos programas (empathy, totem y algunos más), y luego instalé vlc, k3b, y alguno más. Yo supongo que no he hecho nada raro, por eso no se que pasa. Por qué me pone las librerías del openoffice si lo sigo utilizando?

Borrarías algún paquete importante... apt-get autoremove te borra las librerias que estan huerfanas, por lo que en teoria eso ya no lo estas usando... Has probado si los "paquetes" que usan esas librerías siguen funcionando? por ejemplo el libreoffice?

El libreoffice funciona perfectamente. Pero mira lo que he encontrado:

If you always install software through apt-get, without exception, and trust all the dependancies to be correct (which they usually are), then you can use apt-get autoremove and gain a small amount of drive space and a reduced exposure to potential security holes by having it remove packages that no longer have any packages that need them.

But if you install software manually, or develop software, or do not want to deal with a possible dependancy error, then not using autoremove to clear potentially unused packages is probably the safer choice. Regardless of whether you use apt-get autoremove every now and then or not, you will always remove software using apt-get remove Package

El driver de la gráfica y el dropbox es lo único que he instalado con dpkg, sin repositorios.
