Actualizando de BackTrack 4 Final (o R1) a BackTrack R2

apt-get update

apt-get dist-upgrade

apt-get install linux-image-2.6.35.8

Si te pregunta algo acerca de actualizar el lsb-release - contesta con una "y"

Configuration file `/etc/lsb-release' ==>

Actualizando el Kernel
No detengas la instalacion del Kernel:

Selecciona que instale4 un nuevo menu.lst:

Una vez que todo se haya descargado e instalado, haremos algunos ajustes para que quede todo igual, ,lo primero sera reiniciar.

reboot

Entramos de nuevo a BackTrack. Ahora repararemos la pantalla de inicio:

fix-splash

Ahora agregaremos algunos paquetes que no están en R1:

apt-get install postgresql-backtrack-config bf3 linux-backtrack-firmware

Ahora preparamos las fuentes de nuestro kernel:

apt-get install linux-source

cd /usr/src/

tar jxpf linux-source-2.6.35.8.tar.bz2

rm linux

ln -s linux-source-2.6.35.8 linux

cd linux

cp /boot/config-2.6.35.8 .config

make scripts && make prepare

ln -s /usr/src/linux /lib/modules/2.6.35.8/build

apt-get clean

cd /root/

Reparamos el wallpaper:

wget backtrack-linux.org/bt4r2.png

mv bt4r2.png /opt/kde3/share/wallpapers/bt4.png

Y por ultimo reiniciamos para que quede actualizado a R2!
