La verdad es que no lo sé pero nunca me he metido a hacer eso, está en la configuraración eco, que debiera gastar menos. Como decía aprate de eso en el catalist control center le bajé el rendimiento para que no se caliente tanto y parece que en eso funciona, aunque igual da pantallazos azules.
¿en todo caso que está funcionando bien? lo digo para ir descartando. Gracias

Gracias por las sugerencias, respecto de la pasta la he cambiado dos veces en los dos últimos años, la última hace una semana. En este momento no hay excesiva temperatura ya que bajé mediante catalist control center el rendimiento al 75% por lo que la temperatura no sube según el programa de la bios más de 45º, siendo el promedio 37º, aun así ayer tuve pantallazo azul.

Saludos, gracias por la ayuda que puedan prestarme.
Tengo un pc con torre que armamos con un amigo. Usamos un amd FX 8150 con una tarjeta madre msi 970a-g46 (7693), 8192mb de ram (eran 16 pero murio una de 8 así que estoy con la mitad), una tarjeta grafica amd randeon hd 6570 y una fuente de poder adecuada, ya que en principio tengo un disco duro principal de 500gb con dos particiones (una de sistema y otro para mis documentos). Además tengo actualmente otro disco de 4tb para almacenar pelis y documentales y tenía otro disco de 4 tb que saqué de la torre.
Mis programas son win7 home premiun 64b con todo actualizado, office 2106 64b, calibre 64b, aimp4, vlc, emule, 7zip y otras utilidades tipicas. Basicamente uso el pc para trabajar con office, usar el emule por lo que pasa mucho tiempo encendido y escuchar música:

Como no se cual es el proble describo la sintomatología:
1.- la pc empezó a calentarse mucho marcando hasta 90º (el procesador tiene mala fama por eso, según fabricante no debe pasar de 65º) y el ventilador del procesador se ponia a tope haciendo un ruido insoportable, le cambié el ventilador por un kit de ventilación líquida que luego de 13 meses reventó. Se me jodió la tarjeta gráfica que cambie por el mismo modelo que tenía. Finalmente me he quedado con un ventilador que es bastante grande y más silencioso.
2.- La pc continuamente se cuelga en diversos programas y hay que esperar que unos largos segundos para que continue lo cual es muy molesto.
3.- Hace una semana tuvo un pantallazo azul de un dump y no pude reiniciar el sistema. Se jodió allí una memoria ram de 8 y un dvd. Luego de eso pude formatear y reinstalar todo. Usando el catalist control center le bajé la potencia al equipo al 75% y ya no se calienta tanto (33º a 44º).
4.- Hoy de nuevo tuve pantallazo con un dump y ha empezado a corgarse de nuevo a pesar de que no pasa de los 45º.
5.- El disco de 4tb a veces "desaparece" del explorador de win7 por lo que no puede hacerse nada con el, aunque esta bueno porque luego de reiniciar aparece se ven las pelis y funciona ok. Lo mismo me pasó con el disco que saqué ya que pensaba que era problema del disco.

Como no se que es lo que está fallando (aunque sospecho del procesador) y he perdido mucho dinero con las piezas muertas quisiera saber si hay un programa que revise el hardware con profundidad y seguridad para saber que es lo que debo cambiar.
Muchas gracias por la ayuda y disculpen que me salga tan largo pero no tuve tiempo de hacerlo más corto.

Saludos, el estado de la situación es el siguiente:
hdd no principal de 3tb pasado por hdd regenerator, hecho formateo de bajo nivel, reinstalación completa del win7 ultimate.
El dichoso disco pasa todas las pruebas de seatools menos la smart.
Win7 lo reconoce bien con sus dos particiones nuevas, pero la bios cuando quiere.
Crystaldisk reconoce sólo su encabezado pero no puede acceder a su info smart.
Por otra parte traté de instalarle el nuevo firmware pero el programa dos para hacerlo le hace unas pruebas antes y como no las pasa no me deja hacerlo.
Estuve leyendo que las pruebas smart indican que el disco tiene los días contados ya que seguramente fallará, aunque no falle en este momento. Como ya he hecho todo lo que se me ocurre creo que debo resignarme a la muerte del disco, mientras le quede vida creo que lo ocuparé como disco de paso para el emule. Intentaré instalar el firmware desde otro pc a ver si es un problema con la tarjeta madre.
Si hay más ideas se agradecen.

Saludos, luego de un fin de semana de pruebas asi nos va. El HDD Regenerator no pudo terminar en dos ocasiones el proceso. Me salía el mensaje The following pair of drives share the same ATA channels. Despues me ponía algo de conexión perdida y break sector 686550062 (335229 mb). Sin embargo luego ya desalentado y por si acaso lo pasé desde windows 7 y allí si terminó el proceso e indicaba que estaba regenerando minetras avanzaba, aunque no me arroja un informe final de lo que hizo (busque un log o algo similar y nada). 
Para salir de dudas le pasé el seatools para win y SI paso las pruebas, excepto el smart (¿hay que ver si es compatible desde la bios?).

En resumen: No se que hacer ya que parece que ha mejorado bastante con el HDD regenerator aunque no se si es confiable. Por eso antes de seguir haciendo nada quisiera preguntar;

1). ¿Es esta info confiable?
2). ¿Debiera Formatear las particiones de este disco como he leído por allí (ayuda de HDD regenerator)?
3) ¿Debiera actualizar el firware de este disco?

El HDD Regenerator ha detectado 84 sectores con retraso y 3+ sectores malos. Veré si puede repararlo pero pinta mal.

Saludos, no creo que haya filtrado hasta la fuente ya que fue muy poco y por la posición dentro del gabinete cayo sobre la tarjeta de video. Además la fuente viene en una caja cerrada con los conectores por el costado, así que es dificil. Si hubiera filtrado más hubiera llegado al procesador, pero en ese caso ya no habria pc.
hdd regenerator sigue escaneando y ha encontrado hasta ahora(30%) 3 sectores con retardo aunque no malos, luego de probar eso abriré el gabinete para ver la fuente. Gracias.

PD: yo soñaba que había una aplicación por allí que aislaba los sectores dañados y te dejaba utíl el resto del disco, influencias de la ciencia ficción parece :(
