Al final he probado activando nouveau y desactivando el driver privado de nvidia, y ahora no me da problemas.

La verdad no creo que lo siga probando, porque me he comprado una consola y su PM usará el ordenador para jugar 

Así que creo que me quedaré con el nouveau y hala, todo arreglado.

PD: cuanto te referías a actualizar, te referías a actualizar los paquetes con actualizaciones de seguridad, o actualizar de una distribución a otra? Porque las actualizaciones siempre hay que instalarlas.

Cuando yo hice la encuesta marqué la poca seguridad que me inspiraban sus métodos de hacer publicidad, y eso no aparece por ningún lado. Al parecer a la gente eso le da igual.

Y sí, el boom ha pasado. Ahora pasas de ver gente en el ordenador mirando facebook, a ver gente en todos los sitios que el 79243623% de ellos utilizan el móvil mientras están hablando con gente/cenando/otros.

Porque con la poca gente que hablo están en facebook sino mi perfil lo borraría.

Sí que hay juegos para linux, y algunos muy muy buenos y gratuitos. Entre mi favorito está urban terror (que acaban de sacar la versión en HD), con unos gráficos, a mi parecer, impresionantes para ser gratuito, hay muchísimos servidores, gran variedad de mapas, vamos, es como el counter strike pero yo creo que mucho mejor. Está para linux max windows.

Si quieres juegos para linux, yo te recomiendo instalarte steam en linux. En steamOS no es más que un debian 7 modificado y a mi parecer no vale la pena de momento, para eso me quedo con debian original sin modificar.

También tienes otros como alien arena, etc etc.

Hola a todos, nunca he tenido una consola -decente- y quería pillarme la ps3 slim de 12gb porque he oído hablar bien de ella ya que no da casi problemas, comparada con la fat.

Mi intención no es piratearla ya que de tanto piratear cosas me he artado, windows pirata, musica pirata, casi todo pirata. Esto lo quiero original para no tener problemas como que me bloqueen la consola o cosas así.

Para eso instalo un keylogger y termino antes xD.. pero volvemos a lo mismo.. descifraron el audio que contenía la clave.. no el propio hash. Osea, si el ordenador no hubiese emitido esos sonidos.. no serian capaces de hacerlo...

Un sencillo micrófono se convierte en la más eficaz herramienta de piratería, como ha demostrado la Universidad de Tel Aviv.

De todos es sabido que los servicios de inteligencia israelíes tienen poco rival, si es que tienen alguno, en el resto del mundo. Por ello no nos extraña que tres de las mentes más brillantes de la Universidad de Tel Aviv hayan conseguido descifrar uno de los algoritmos de cifrado más efectivos y seguros que existen en la actualidad, el RSA de 4096 bits. Pero lo más terrorífico es que para ello no han hecho falta sofisticados dispositivos de tecnología punta ni avanzados programas de análisis de algoritmos que realicen miles de millones de cálculos por segundo. No, se han bastado con un simple micrófono, algunos programas de tratamiento de sonido y un oído agudo.

Como los propios investigadores cuentan en un informe que podéis leer aquí, las CPUs emiten diferentes ruidos en función de los procesos que se están ejecutando, lo cual delata su actividad. Y entre estos sonidos correspondientes a los cambios de voltaje se encuentra un patrón dentro de una frecuencia entre 10 y los 150Khz que corresponde a los cálculos de este algoritmo de cifrado de datos. Aislada esta frecuencia y tras aplicar varios filtros, esta huella queda expuesta como si fuera un mapa del tesoro hacia los preciados datos.

En apenas una hora, los científicos consiguieron romper el RSA de 4096 bits, por lo que otros sistemas tardarían incluso muchísimo menos en caer. Es más, se han obtenido resultados tanto con micrófonos direcciones como con los de un simple smartphone. El sonido les delata, argumentan los investigadores, lo cual es a la vez fascinante y terrorífico. ¿No hay manera de estar a salvo? Bueno, hay una muy elemental: proporcionar otra "fuente de ruido lo suficientemente potente y amplia" como para que esta frecuencia no se pueda captar bien.

Si veis algún ordenador con el Reproductor de Medios a todo trapo, quizá esconde más de lo que parece.

Hola, ayer instalé actualizaciones de seguridad de debian 7, en las cuales vi que se incluían varias de Xorg.

Pues hoy al arrancar como siempre, me dijo que gnome no se había cargado bien. Yo tenía el escritorio "nuevo", y ahora solo me carga el clásico. Otros problemas es que cuando entro en facebook o sitios similares, se cierra la sesión sin más y me lleva a la pantalla de inicio de debian.

Tengo una gráfica nvidia gt320m y tengo instalado el driver privado, y antes de actualizar funcionaba muy bien. He buscado a ver si a alguien más le pasaba y no he encontrado ningún resultado.

Alguien me puede ayudar a restaurar mi gnome, que no sea el clásico sino el normal? Dejo los mensajes dmesg y syslog abajo.

De que te sirven programas libres si tu SO es restringido y no es modificable? xD

De momento uso windows por obligación, pero cuando no, tengo instalado un debian. Por lo menos esos programas no los tengo que piratear, los libres que instalo en windows, digo 

El asunto dice una cosa pero el tema dice otro (con algo más de lógica), ha saber lo que necesita.
