No funciona el sonido.

El monitor está mal configurado, las fotos se ven como "estiradas", y no se ve con la resolución que tiene en Mac...

En general, necesito consejo general sobre Slackware en Mac... si alguien sabe algún tutorial de calidad, o ha tenido la misma situación que yo le agradecería que compartiera su experiencia...

Vamos a ver...

Primero, respecto a la info que aportaste (que gracias por aportar tanta) cuando sea así, quizás sería recomendable que utilices algún pastebin que puedes encontrar por la red... ya que por desgracia el foro tiene un límite de caracteres por mensaje.

Segundo, respecto al sonido... pues... a menos que aun ande dormido, no encontré ningún indicio de la existencia de una tarjeta o chipset de sonido en la info que proporcionas... quizás si me das la salida de lspci aparezca. No sé que chipset de sonido suelen incluir en las Mac, pero supongo que debe ser una Intel® HD Audio

Tercero, respecto al monitor... pues... puede que sea problema de la configuración o puede que sea problema de que estés utilizando un controlador genérico para tu tarjeta gráfica (el vesa). Según parece tienes una tarjeta gráfica Nvidia GeForce 9400M por lo que es recomendable que instales el controlador propietario, y quizás estos links te ayuden:

Esa es tu tarjeta de sonido que como suponía es una Intel HDA...

Por lo general, el sistema de sonido utilizado en Linux, ALSA debería detectar la tarjeta y autoconfigurarse para que puedas utilizarla... pero como puedes comprobar nada es perfecto.

Al parecer, para las computadoras Mac hay diferentes parámetros, en función del modelo, para forzar ALSA con el fin de que detecte y utilice tu tarjeta de sonido.

¿Cual elegir? Yo te recomendaría que empezaras por intel-mac-auto y si sigue sin funcionar probaras el resto.

¿Como probarlos? Simplemente descarga el módulo de sonido y cárgalo con el parámetro que quieras:

Como root
Código (bash) [Seleccionar]
modprobe -r snd-hda-intel && modprobe snd-hda-intel model=intel-mac-auto

Si con alguna de las opciones descritas arriba logras que funcione el sonido, para aplicar esa opción de forma permanente comprueba si en el directorio /etc/modprobe.d tienes un fichero con alguna referencia a "alsa" u "options" y si no tienes ninguno simplemente crea un fichero llamado options.conf en ese directorio (a decir verdad... el nombre da igual, lo importante es la extensión ".conf").

Y en el fichero options.conf escribe esto:

Código (bash) [Seleccionar]
options snd_hda_intel model=parametro

Donde parámetro sería aquel que te funcionó.

Hay módulos que no se pueden descargar de forma sencilla porque otros módulos dependen de los primeros.... probablemente si investigas un poco puedas forzar la descarga pero en mi opinión no creo que sea muy recomendable...

Resumiendo, creo que vas a tener que utilizar la segunda opción (la de trabajar en el directorio /etc/modprobe.d) y reiniciar el sistema cada vez que pruebes una opción para ver si funciona...  :-\

Que nos da las dependencias que tiene snd_hda_intel...
De momento no he avanzado más.

En el directorio  /etc/modprobe.d/ hay un archivo que se llama: sound
Tiene lo siguiente:

alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel


No lo situo muy bien... ¿hay que tocarlo también?
